I am a semi-professional photographer learning my skills in creating beautiful and thought provoking images. I look at my pictures with an artist’s eye and with a bit of a twist. My background is in medicine and I have taken up photography in my retirement to enrich my retirement experience and enhance my travel experiences.I started taking pictures seriously in my practice to record patient data. Since my retirement I have endeavored to record interesting images from my environment and from my travels. I regret that I did not start this until recently.
I am working with a Nikon D90 camera with an 18 – 200mm lens with a 5.6 aperture. This is a starting point until I get more serious and purchase further lenes.
My wife is a respected watercolor artist with a big following and her work can be seen at www.hedyberman.artspan.com I have two grown children and one grand-daughter. My younger son is a graphic artist in his part time.
I prefer to present traditional images as well as images that have been changed or altered by my creativity to invoke an emotional response or an “Aha” factor. As my work progresses I hope my work will continue to show improvement in my images, editing,. and composition.
